Paul Underdahl

Financial Planner

punderdahl@focusfinancial.com

I have been in the financial planning business since 2002. In 2017, I started the Stonebridge Group, where I have incorporated my wife Ann and my nephew Vince within my practice.

When I started the StoneBridge Group, my vision was to create a personalized financial planning approach while providing the highest quality client-service experience along the way. After years of experience in this field, I have found the best way to approach someone's financial plan is to listen and find out what's most important to them. After I understand your personal situation and your goals for the future, I'll work side by side with you to develop strategies and action items necessary to help navigate you to reach your goals.

My favorite part of being a financial advisor is being able to meet with new people and the relationships that develop over the years of working together.

Financial Advisor

About Vince Darling CFP®

Vince joined the Stonebridge Group alongside his uncle, Paul Underdahl, in 2017 as an Advisor Support Specialist. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ today, he serves as a Financial Advisor.

As a Financial Advisor, Vince enjoys connecting with people on a personal level. He understands emotions run high when people start talking about their finances. This is why he makes it a point to always create a calming atmosphere where his clients feel at ease discussing their financial circumstances, whatever they may be. His strength is his ability to take complex financial topics and explain them in a way that makes sense to his clients. Together, Vince and his clients collaborate on putting together a well-thought-out financial plan to make sure they address those big financial milestones in life, all while doing so tax efficiently.

The average age of a Financial Advisor is between 51-55 years old, with a significant 38% of them planning to retire within the next 10 years.1 This means many advisors will retire before or just after their own clients retire or reach other financial milestones.  This forces these clients to have to find a new Advisor or be transferred to an advisor they have no personal connection with.

With many of Vince’s clients being older than he is, he sees this as an advantage to his clients. He says: “I have many years left of doing what I love to do. I’ve observed advisors later in their careers start to dial back into their own retirement, making their clients feel forgotten about or less important than they once felt. I know my clients are the most important piece of my business, and I consider it a privilege to help my clients and reassure them that I am here for the long haul.”

Vince’s strength is helping people around the ages of 45-60 craft financial strategies to help their retirement funds outlast their life expectancy. Understanding the critical role of early investing, Vince also helps younger clients open investment accounts to help build strong financial foundations.

Administrative Assistant (Non-Registered Assistant)

AUnderdahl@focusfinancial.com

I joined the Stonebridge Group in 2017 as a Client Service Specialist.

As Paul's non-registered assistant, I help organize and take care of client files, without speaking directly to clients. By helping create a paperless environment, Paul and Vince are able to spend more time with clients, while making them feel assured that their personal information will be protected through our top of the line electronic filling system.

I enjoy providing the support that allows Paul more time to focus on meeting and working with clients.
